de s’accumuler et d’altérer la saveur de votre prochaine infusion. ;
l’eau dure
. Au fil du temps, cette accumulation peut avoir un impact sur le fonctionnement de votre machine, c’est pourquoi il est bon de la nettoyer plusieurs fois par an. ;
A quelle fréquence devez-vous détartrer votre machine Nespresso ?
To keep your machine in good condition, Mulay recommends descaling your machine regularly, about every three months or after 300 capsules. He adds that the whole process is quick and easy and shouldn’t take more than 20 to 30 minutes.
Considerations Before Getting Started
Regardless of the model of your Nespresso machine, Mulay does not recommend placing any parts in the dishwasher. Also, the company recommends only using their descaling kits in these machines. At-home solutions, like vinegar or citric acid mixes, or other store-bought descalers could potentially damage a Nespresso machine.
Be sure to read the instructions for your model and use caution when handling descaling solutions. Avoid contact with your skin and eyes. Finally, place something under the machine to catch any spills during cleaning, as the descaling solution can discolor surfaces.

What To Know About Descaling Other Nespresso Models
Nespresso Original
When cleaning machines from Nespresso’s original lines, like Lattissima, Citiz, and Pixie, many of the pieces are detachable and can be hand-washed with hot soapy water. You can buy a solution to run in these machines’ descaling cycles, too, just be sure to check how much water the specific model requires.
Breville
Many Breville machine models, like the Vertuo line, including Vertuo Plus and Creativa, are made in partnership with and are designed by Nespresso. So, you can clean and descale these machines with the above instructions. Just check the individual product’s manual for how much water to use in the descaling process, as it varies model to model.
DeLonghi
You can remove minerals from the DeLonghi model by running its descale cycle as well. The process is much the same, except to activate the cycle, you will hold all three buttons down at once. See the full
