Krispy Kreme Teams Up With Another Iconic Brand To Celebrate A Very Special, Very Pink Anniversary

Barbie had a big birthday this year—her 65th, to be exact—and

Krispy Kreme

is celebrating the way it knows best.

The chain has partnered with Mattel to develop four flashy doughnuts that don’t hold back when it comes to glam and glitter, just like our favorite icon-in-pink. Barbie collectors will love the limited-edition custom box, too, though we’re guessing they won’t want to preserve the perishable contents on a display shelf.

Before you rush out the door to buy a box, dig through your closet for a pink sweater or T-shirt. Krispy Kreme is giving out one free doughnut to those who show up at stores on September 7

decked out in pink

—though it will be an undecorated glazed one.

Krispy Kreme

has special treats for randomly selected fans, including a limited quantity of Barbie Fashionista dolls, » a press release states. « The dolls will include customized Krispy Kreme accessories—a Krispy Kreme paper hat, dozen box and doughnut. To further delight fans, Krispy Kreme will include a custom Barbie™ x Krispy Kreme adult-sized denim jacket with each doll. »
