Comfort & Fit

How comfortable are Aukey T10?

The first time you put them in, they might not create an instant fit, but with some initial adjustment you get almost perfect comfort. You can comfortably wear them for hours without any irritation, and though you sometimes get a feeling they might fall out, they don’t.

Initially, we thought they’ll be prone to falling out, but that isn’t the case. Sure, the buds are quite big, yet with the ear wings properly attached, they never fall out.

In all our hours of testing, we never had a single incident of a fit going bad. You can easily run, do yoga or lift weights. After all, these are

You can choose from 3 different sizes of ear wings and tips (single flange, silicone). Apart from that, the design is ergonomic and fits into ears better than most true wireless buds we’ve tested so far.

Even after hours of use, your ears won’t get irritated

All in all, the T10s are well suited for working out or casual daily use. They stay in and don’t bother your ears.

Noise Isolation

How effective is noise isolation in Aukey T10?

Passive noise isolation is highly dependent on the ear tips you use, though, with regular tips that you get in the box, isolation is average for in-ear headphones.

It seems the casing and tips don’t block as much ambient noise as other in-ear headphones. Nonetheless, this can be a good thing if you want better awareness.

Hearing cars before you see them in the city can be very useful. But if you intend to use these in the gym, you’ll probably still hear the gym music.

We tested the Bluetooth earbuds in a slightly windy situation, and while some wind noise was present, it was normal and not too extreme. So, you can use these for cycling or riding an electric scooter.

Bluetooth

The Bluetooth 5.0 connection in Aukey T10 is almost perfect and stronger than in most wireless earbuds. It stays connected through 1 wall without distortion, and only loses synchronization through 2 walls.

When you have your smartphone close nearby, you’ll almost never get any disruption. It still happens on rare occasions for a short moment, it’s normal for all Bluetooth devices. But generally, the Bluetooth connection is among the best.

Putting 1 wall in between doesn’t interfere at all. We only got disruptions, but never a loss of signal, after introducing the 2

^nd

wall.

You get the standard 33ft (10m) range.

Is there a delay when watching videos?

Just like with all Bluetooth headphones that don’t have a fast codec, there is some delay in audio compared to wired headphones. But it’s barely noticeable and doesn’t make videos impossible to watch.

Bluetooth codecs that are supported: SBC AAC, but no aptX.

Battery

What’s the battery life in Aukey T10?

We were listening to music from 100% battery to zero and got slightly under 6 hours (at a bit over half volume). It’s marginally less than the promised 7 hours but plenty of juice for most people. Also, if you listen to music at lower volume you’ll get more staying power.

The charging case includes up to 24 hours of battery altogether. It’s charged by a USB-C cable or

Qi wireless charging

station and takes about 2 hours.

It’s excellent battery performance, especially considering these are on the affordable side. Nonetheless,

the PowerBeats Pro

still win with the longest battery per charge.

Aukey T10s will last you for a couple workouts or commutes, but since you’ll probably store them in the charging case, they’ll be ready for new 6 hours every time.

Durability

Fully plastic earbuds are IPX5 water protected, which means full sweat protection though can’t be submerged. The quality plastics is pleasant to the touch and gives off the impression these cost more money. Overall, they are well-built earphones without significant durability issues.

Another nice thing about these is their charging case. It opens by “unscrewing” the top cover. It looks sleek and is easy to use. We want to see more companies use the same solution.

It also got an iF design award, and we’re not surprised why.

The Aukeys feel and look like premium earbuds even though you paid a lot less money.

While for heavy sports use (and our higher score), they would need a higher IPX protection, they’re perfectly fine for most sportspeople.

To end, these are sturdy workout true wireless earbuds made of quality plastics and silicone without glaring weak points.

Features

The earbuds pair automatically when you take them out of the case, the touch controls work well though not without the usual issues, but there is no app support of any kind, so no EQ or personalization.

Plus, there’s battery indicator on iOS and Android, so you always know how much juice you have left.

How are the controls?

To start off, many new true wireless headphones come with touch controls, and the T10s are the same.

While we aren’t massive fans of the control design, it’s considered “modern” and stylish by many, and it gets the job done.

You can control play/pause, volume, and song selection as well as accept and reject phone calls. You can do all of it by a combination of short presses, double presses, or long presses. The user manual explains it well.

But the usual problem with touch controls is that they don’t always recognize your fingers. Or, they may recognize it too well and sense 1 touch as 2. So instead of pausing your music, you skip to the next song.

It’s often annoying but gets better once you realize this is not your blazing smartphone, and you need to touch a bit more carefully and slowly.

Thankfully they still come with built-in volume controls that many TWS earbuds don’t have. Long press and hold on the right side for increase or the left side for a decrease of volume.

If you want to increase it a bit more, you have to hold it for longer. It’s a much better solution than no volume controls at all.

Are they good for phone calls?

The built-in microphones are good enough for talking in a quiet environment, but the caller will know you’re not using your phone. There’s a bit of an echo though clarity is fine.

It’s not the best microphone example we’ve seen in true wireless earbuds but does the job okay. If you need to make a lot of phone calls, don’t use these.

Accessories

Apart from the charging case that also works as the carrying and protective case, you also get the USB-C charging cable, 3 pairs of regular silicone ear tips, and 3 pairs of ear wings.

Sound

Aukey T10 have a balanced sound signature without overpowering bass. It’s suitable for all

music genres

but won’t satisfy those who like more bass in their music. Though, it’s better than what you’d expect from true wireless earbuds at this price range.

There’s no harshness in

highs

at higher volume, but the lack of punchy bass will put off some people, though only demanding users will notice it.

Give them to an average listener, and most will tell you they sound good. Not exactly high fidelity, but you can surely enjoy every genre of music for your next commute.

The highs produce a lot of details and you get the feeling the sounds are coming from the environment, good clarity overall.

The soundstage is about average for in-ear headphones, there’s some separation between right and left sides, but spatial sound is the weak point of earbuds in general.

Their sound is best geared towards those who like uncolored sound and aren’t too sensitive about perfect sonic fidelity.

Why Buy Aukey T10?

If you’re in the market for quality true wireless earbuds that don’t cost an arm and a leg but aren’t the cheapest either, then these are your top choice.

They have a superb design that’s comfortable and fits well for any sports occasion, plus they’re fully sweatproof and water-resistant.

A 6-hour battery is more than enough for most users, and with USB-C quick charging you can have them powered up in no time.

These are great for daily use as well as taking them to the gym to do some work. Dependable performance makes for excellent user experience, and these definitely deliver.

Considering you pay slightly above $100 (at the time of writing this), you aren’t going to find a much better value in true wireless headphones.
