, headquartered in Oklahoma City, just announced their unique twist on a classic caramel apple with a whimsical Halloween slush they call the
Witch’s Brew Slush Float
. But don’t let this vibrant green « potion » spook you! It’s surprisingly good, and tastes like the frozen version of those old-school caramel apple lollipops.
The Witch’s Brew Slush Float has a tart green-apple flavored slush base topped with vanilla soft-serve and poppable salted caramel bubbles. It’s not
quite
comparable to our
Caramel Apple Cake
, but in a sip, it’s the perfect balance of sweet, sour, and creamy.
“Witch’s Brew is our twist on a caramel apple that stands out from the crowd with its unique blend of seasonal flavors and textures,” said Mackenzie Gibson, Vice President of Culinary & Menu Innovation at SONIC. “This hauntingly good creation not only captures the essence of the Halloween season but also delivers a deliciously fun experience that’s truly one-of-a-kind. The colorful new slush, a bewitching addition to the
Flavorista Favorites
drink lineup, is now available to be ordered ahead in the Sonic app, and will roll out nationwide beginning September 30 until November 3 while supplies last. The Witch’s Brew Slush Float is priced starting at $3.99 for a medium. (Note that the limited-time slush is not eligible for Happy Hour specials.)
If you need just one more reason to taste-test, take comfort in knowing that your slush purchase also supports a good cause through the Sonic Limeades for Learning initiative, wherein the restaurant chain donates a portion of all drink, slush, blast, and shake sales to support public education. To date, these donations have topped more than $28 million.
