Kelsea Ballerini And Chase Stokes Share Emotional Update On Their Dog Dibs’ Health

star Chase Stokes are spending as much quality time as they can with their ailing dog, Dibs, in his final days.

Ballerini told fans in August that the curly-haired white pup, which she adopted in 2015, had inoperable cancer in his heart. She and Stokes also have a second dog, Milo, which the actor adopted in 2020.

« We’re just taking it day by day right now, » he said. « I mean, it’s one of those things that when it happens as fast as it does, you just try to do the next right thing. »

Ballerini first broke the news about Dibs on Instagram, saying the dog was « not in pain » and they were getting him treatment « to make sure he can have as many

happy and comfortable days

(weeks, months) left as possible. » The « Cowboys Cry Too » singer also said Dibs « is getting extra cuddles and kibbles from his little family. »

Ballerini also posted a portrait of her and sweet Dibs earlier this month, saying « no conditions i’d follow you to the moon, no suit. 🌙👩‍🚀 »

Stokes has also shared updates on social media, saying « It’s been a rough few days here. But our man is in good spirits and eating all his favorite foods. »
